Pheasant Hunting in North Carolina
Pheasant hunting is one of the most social and exciting forms of upland bird hunting in North America. Whether it’s a tower shoot with driven birds or a classic walk-up flush with dogs working the field, the sport brings together the challenge of wing shooting with the tradition of a day spent outdoors. Pheasants are fast, unpredictable, and rewarding for shooters at every skill level, from first-timers to seasoned wing shooters. This winter, Hidden Brook Sporting Club in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina will be joining the list of premier pheasant hunting destinations in the Southeast.
The Tower
Stations at 100 yards across varied terrain — behind trees, along the river, in open field. The horn signals the release. Your group works through each position and rotates when the horn sounds again.
The Flush
After the tower, dogs are released to flush remaining pheasants. The group moves through the cover together — birds rising as the dogs work ahead. Every guest goes home with a cooler of pheasants.
